CALIBRATION OF AMMETER ANDVOLTMETER USING DC POTENTIOMETER..

out of ten statement three are wrong


1.The potentiometer is extensively used for the calibration of ammeters and voltmeters.
2.The potentiometers has become the standard for the calibration of ammeters and voltmeters.
3.The determination of voltage by a potentiometer is dependent of the source resistance.(independent)
4.Potentiometers can be used only for measuring voltage(voltage,current,power and resistance)
5.Any change in the supply voltage will cause a corresponding change in the voltmeter calibration.
6.For accuracy of measurement,it is necessary to measure voltages near maximum range of the potentiometer, as for as possible.
7.The dc potentiometer can calibrate any dc or ac instruments.(only dc instruments)..
8.The potentiometer measures the true value of voltage.
9.The voltage across the standard resistor is measured with the help of potentiomete and the current through the standard resistance can be computed using
I=Vs/S
10.This method of calibrating ammeter is very accurate.
